China successfully sent the last networking satellite of BeiDou Networking Satellite System (BDS-3) into its scheduled orbit with Long March 3B Launch Vehicle at Xichang Satellite Launch Centre on June 23, 2020, which represented the complete deployment of BDS-3. It means that all the 30 networking satellites of BDS-3 have been in their scheduled position, and BDS-3 has officially moved out of China towards a new era to serve the world and benefit mankind.

BDS & Intelligent Driver’s Test

BDS actualizes the centimetre-level positioning in Duolun Technology’s business of intelligent driver’s test, which significantly promotes the electronic-form of the business. Satellite-differential-positioning-based judgement technology can judge whether the tested drivers’ points should be deducted in the test items by installing high-precision positioning equipment on the test car, setting up the contour and tire models of the car, and identifying the graphic relationship between them and the geometric models of the test items on the test ground.

 Take the judgement of whether the car-body is out of the plot line in the test of backing the car as an example. During the specific stage in the test, if the contour model of the car intersects with the model of the plot line, points will be deducted. The centimetre-level high-precision positioning not only meets the requirements for high-precision of the positioning and ranging of the car in the test judgement system, but also lays the scientific foundation for the intelligent transformation of the test and training industry.

Ushering in a New Era of High-Precision Positioning in the Vehicle Field

In August 2018, Duolun Technology strategically invested into Hunan Bynav Technology Co., Ltd., which signaled Duolun Technology further improved its layout of industrial chain and ushered in a new era of high-precision positioning in the vehicle field together with Bynav.

Bynav is a high-tech enterprise specializing in software & hardware technology products related to BDS high-precision navigating and positioning. Since its establishment, it has been concentrating on the research and development of the core parts of the high-precision satellite navigating. Bynav has presented a series of products with clips and algorithms as the core, including the high-precision boards, the high-precision receivers, and the integrated navigation systems. It has also introduced its multi-integrated product line from clips to machines, meeting the needs of the industrial chains from plug and play to deep integration. Therefore, it provides core parts and solutions for high-precision positioning in such fields as intelligent and connected vehicles, automatic driving, driver training and test, surveying and mapping, monitoring of geological disasters and industrial control.

At present, Duolun Technology has completely substituted international products with domestic products of Bynav Technology, which have been put into batch application.

BDS & Internet of Vehicles

In 2020, as more and more BDS navigating equipment and clip products were adopted and loaded in the front of the vehicles, and China intensively issued favorable policies for intelligent and connected vehicles, Internet of Vehicles matured in applications such as autonomous perception of the environment and position and networking information services. Duolun Technology is now also marching towards the field of Internet of Vehicles which is worth trillions of yuan.
