The rapid urban construction has brought a growing number of different construction vehicles and muck trucks, which causes substantial damage to city roads. The traffic management authorities set up height limit devices on some road sections. However, most of current height limit products require on-site manual operators and electric motors to lift the height limit. Though able to relieve traffic pressure, they show clear drawbacks, special vehicles such as emergency rescue and repair vehicles, ambulances, road sprinklers, garbage truck, and buses may find the set height limit extremely inconvenient. In addition, these products use iron chains or wire ropes for height limit. So, when vehicles higher than the limit try to pass through forcibly, they may pull and break the chains or ropes, causing height limit beams to tilt or drop, which is likely to induce secondary traffic accidents. Also, for places that lack power facilities, the operators need to bring generators in order to adjust the height limit, which adds to the cost and wastes manpower, resources and funds.
